Lilacs are beautiful, large shrubs with an emphasis on the LARGE. Heedless of the plans of their planters, lilacs will outgrow any area too small for their big plans. However, the Korean lilacs, of which Miss Kim is the best, are a shorter species growing to 6 feet but easily kept at 4 feet with strategic pruning. Just remember, everything about it is smaller, including their small clusters of purple flowers.
